STAR AFFILIATES: Utah STAR

UT STAR field forms and scoring were initially developed collaboratively through a joint UT STAR Steering and Science Committee made up of farmers and ranchers and representatives from the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, UDAF’s AGVip Program, Utah State University, Utah Association of Conservation Districts, UT NRCS, and UT Farm Bureau with a focus on both soil health and water quality. UT STAR enrollment launched in August 2025 for croplands including field forms for Alfalfa and Grains as well as a form for fallow fields. The newly developed regional STAR for Grazing Lands will be available for Utah ranchers in September 2025.
